KidsLibs Trust seeks to see Kenyans -- particularly children and youth -- reading for pleasure, not just to pass exams. We want all Kenyans to have access to the information they need through our centres. We work towards the following goals: to improve literacy levels amongst Kenya's poorest communities; to encourage positive attitudes towards books, reading and literacy; to create safe and welcoming havens for intellectual and imaginative endeavors. We aim to do this through partnerships with community based organisations, by setting up free community libraries, and liaising with other agencies both local and international. |
